Darker tones & other things

Loving these dark tones. Dramatic, fun and still ultra stylish. Im still planning our new bedroom design and thinking ill start working with some darker tones which is very exciting. My wonderful husband will be shocked/thrilled!

Thought this was divine too. So pretty in a little white frame!

A kitchen and a lamp (plus a shade)

Loving that gorgeous yellow wallpaper and that kitchen is absolutely gorgeous as well. I dream for a large kitchen where I don't have to move everything in and out to get a saucepan out of a drawer! On another happy note, a lovely customer sent me this picture of her lamp and shade - so gorgeous! Makes me happy seeing gorgeous things from the store being loved in other people's homes! Kellie x

I'm really keen to change the wallpaper in our bedroom, Im thinking of something bold and fun. At the moment it's very peaceful and pretty just feeling though, i want to mix things up a bit and these two from Designers Guild are so beautiful! What you do think, 1 or 2?

Left over wallpaper - DIY

I love this DIY project from Shannon Fricke who did this for The Woman's Weekly - the perfect way to jazz up an old piece of furniture whilst making stunning use of those left over wallpaper pieces that you just didn't quite know what to do with! Clever lady she is!

After the week

Feeling a bit weary this morning after what feels like an exhausting week! Thank goodness it is Friday. I though this relaxing and neutral room suited my mood perfectly. On a side note, that striped wallpaper is delightful isn't it! Kellie xx

A trivial point of view...

What a divine image! That turquoise works so well with the lemon. It's funny, I much prefer 'lemon' over yellow... Despite the fact my husband would argue they are exactly the same! A wonderful purchase...

I always know I made a good decision when I have no regrets and months later im still happy with an outcome. It took me a while to choose the wallpaper for our living space but so glad I ended up with the one pictured in this gorgeous interior. Ours is more of a platinum colour but just as lovely, I adore it's effortless feel. Forgotten it? {HERE} it is again! Kellie xx

I have lots of scaps of little pieces of wallpaper that is perfect for wrapping gifts! I decided to use the wallpaper from our bedroom {remember the post here} to wrap Mum's gift for Mother's Day. And doesn't it look just gorgeous! Kellie xx

Something else bright for today

Sadly this is not my bathroom with that divine wallpaper, it is however my last day of work for this week so I am celebrating! Flying off early tomorrow morning to Brisbane and then Toowoomba for the weekend! Kellie xx

Clean before a break?

My best friend Kate and I had this conversation the other day. For me, before the weekend, I have to clean and re-organise my house. Why? Because I cannot relax knowing that it isn't all sorted. Perhaps cleaning and tidying up means I am letting go of the previous week's work. So tonight you can guarantee i'll be vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing....

For Kate though, she couldn't think of anything worse after a week of work, coming home on a Friday (or for this weekend, a Thursday) and spend the night cleaning. She spends it relaxing and worrying about dusting another day. That night is all about Kate and her partner and spending it just how she pleases.

I kind of wish I could do that but I know i'd try it and be annoyed by every bit of fluff i saw!

Pedantic!? Possibly! Anyone else like me? Kellie x

Hello bedroom, hello prettiness!

The wallpaper is complete and looks beautiful. I must say, for this room, I wanted something soft, pretty and peaceful. The mint green is very calming and I do adore the metallic bows that pop up brilliantly.

Oh and here are those gorgeous David Austin roses I found over the weekend. Our bedroom is smelling spectacular...

Next is the chandelier. I'm thinking something quite big and glamourous. Oh and I need to hang some art that we have had stored, looking for the right place to put up. Will keep you posted on that one.

Over the next couple of days I will show you the bedside tables I painted and a fabulous cushion that I found on the weekend. Divine if you ask me!! Kellie xx

Bedroom wallpapering progress

Wallpapering duties have commenced in our bedroom and it's coming along much quicker this time. The limited metallic features makes this one a lot easier to hang and the bubbles are much easier to identify. I must say, I really do adore those gorgeous ribbons! Kellie x

The divine Porchlight Interiors has featured this beautiful room and I couldnt resist it!

That beautiful wallpaper and glorious blooms are spectacular. Of course I spy some gorgeous pink as well that I adore. There are more of these beautiful rooms at Porchlight Interiors by the same designer....

I especially love the outdoor space with the potted hydrangeas. Until a couple of days ago i had something similar except then I came home from work after a hot day and the poor plant was a shrivelled mess! Kellie xx
