I had a lovely Sunday, it was my birthday and I spent a lovely day with my family. Wonderful food, delicious cake and I was given some lovely and unexpected surprises!

Friday, updates and purchases

What a week! I'm extra relieved it's Friday. Tonight im off for a lovely dinner with Kate, Saturday lots of Ada & Darcy work putting some design concepts together for lovely clients - seems i've run out of hours this week! Definitely will be popping into the flower markets Saturday morning too, its been weeks since i've been and i'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms. Sunday though will be spent relaxing. Cant wait.

And in fashion news... Here's a couple of purchases that were made during the week.

1. A completely impractical but fabulous nonetheless feather jacket. LOVE. Such a fun accessory with jeans, dresses or skirts. Let's hope i dont wear it on a day where its raining.

2. A Whistles Carrie pleated skirt. The colour is outrageously beautiful, I saw it a while back and couldnt stop thinking about it so took the plunge.

I really wish I was brave enough to show these purchases on myself... Im just very chicken!! Kellie xxx

Summer Weather...

Geez, its still hot in Sydney! My lovely pink Prada sunglasses arrived just in time for the weekend. Lily and Molly are off to the doggy spa tomorrow, can you believe this, they have a dog pool there for them to swim in too - supervised of course and there are doggy life jackets!! Clearly they designed their business with crazy dog owners like myself in mind. Sunday is Luke's birthday so will be having a nice lunch with the family, by the water to hopefully enjoy a cool breeze that hasnt been present in sydney for a good while now.

Two perfect models...

I needed to take a few pictures on the weekend and managed to get this gorgeous shot of Lily and Molly. The perfect models! I think it had something to do with the fact they had a big swim at the beach on the weekend so were a little tired therefore were happy just to sit and have their picture taken.

Saturday morning I found those amazing and huge roses on the weekend, and, the colour of them hasnt been modified at all - they are the most brightest and boldest shade of yellow I have seen! And they were sold in a bunch of 25 - outrageous! Was very happy with my purchase.

Morning blooms

Look what I picked this morning from my garden, with all this rain we have had in Sydney, the hydrangeas have gone mad!

New things...

How was your weekend? Mine was very productive, lots done on Saturday and Sunday including some gardening, shopping, hair love, worked on some projects and took some lovely pictures of new things that came in!

More pretty cushions added to the store in the 'what's new' section... We also have added 6 little ones at great prices - only 1 of each! Also added is that lovely blue and white lamp - the other style sold out very quickly. Oh and that animal print one - loving that too. Kellie xx. Ps. That's my lovely rosette quilt there... xx

Sleep ins

I had a lovely sleep in this morning. And I turned the alarm clock off a couple of times. Off to the hairdressers now - my hair is in desperate need for some love.

These darling rosette quilts have been so popular in the store! I have one myself and they are so beautiful... Soft, gorgeous to look at and totally practical (and well priced)! I love that you can just throw them on and they look stunning messy or neat (for most days of the week when im running late) and dont seem to have time to spend lots of time making my bed look pretty - it just always does!

Strange Habits

Luke and my best friend Kate are just perplexed why I love drinking out of glass jars rather than a traditional glass. I always say with the glass jar and the straw make the water taste much better. They both think i'm a bit mad because of it! I spotted this wedding and thought, this event has the same passion of jars as a drinking glass as me, and, the styling is just so mighty pretty! Surprises at home...

It's been a busy, fun and hectic week with the launch of the online boutique, lots of things to do at home and working on other projects! I was delighted to come home to find sweet peas and hydrangeas all blooming away in our garden ready to be picked. Since I'll be doing lots of resting this weekend, I picked a few bunches and thought they were perfect on my bedside table so I could enjoy them all weekend long.

A busy weekend

I do love a productive weekend that is mixed with relaxation and good outcomes! Lily and Molly were very busy with me picking up cushion covers, making orders, seeing family and eating out. I do like to take them with me when I go out and about and they seem to love it too. Then they get home and take it very easy and recuperate from all the excitement {as you can see they do love a feather cushion or two...}Have a beautiful week everyone! Kellie xx

Holiday = Booked

Summer holiday = booked! Yippeee. Can't wait to have our own gorgeous pool on the Noosa River {my enthusiasm for a pool is due to not having one as a child and as an adult im desperate for one!!}. It's my favourite place. Love the shops, the restaurants, the weather and the stunning location. Can't wait! Kellie xx

Baking: Raspberry and White Chocolate Cake

I do get a bit nervous baking but this lovely cake turned out delicious yesterday - a raspberry and white chocolate cake with raspberry cream! Kind of like a giant friand. I have noted the recipe below just in case you wanted to give it a shot. The original recipe didnt have white chocolate but I just added it in as I love the white chocolate and raspberry combination. Kellie xx

1/3 cup plain flour

2/3 cup almond meal

1 cup icing sugar

90g melted butter

3 egg whites

1t vanilla extract

1 cup raspberries

Additional raspberries and whipped cream

Preheat oven to 160c. Combine flour, almond meal, icing sugar, butter, egg whites and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Fold through berries and place in a greased 18cm cake tin. Place remaining raspberries on top of mixture and bake for 35 - 40 mins. Serve with whipped cream.

Yay its friday! Im looking forward to the weekend that will include sleep ins, flower markets, playing with pretty home decor items and lunch right on Sydney harbour! Can't wait! xx

A Pencil Choice...

For some reason of late I have felt compelled to stop using pens and write everything with pencils, there is something so raw and creative about them. The other day I found some gorgeous ones with a stunning colourful stone on the end that are sitting on my desk, waiting for me to give them lots of love. I haven't used them just yet as they are so beautiful, I dont want to waste them away! Kellie xx

A bit of play time....

Moved some things around and have two of my favourite cushions back in my bedroom. Love having a bit of time to play! Loving that lamp and shade too.. Those spots on the lamp base are so delightful {faint in this shot}! Kind of makes me want to read more in bed {which I never do - i seem to spend too much time looking at blogs instead with all those pretty pictures}. Kellie xx

Camilla: LOVE! Purchased!

Oh dear, seems my obsession for spring got the better of me and I purchased these Camilla dresses for the warmer weather... Remember them {here}... We here they now are, in my bedroom, ready to be worn! Ohhh please, warm weather, please do come quickly! Kellie xx

Dreams

There is something so exciting and enticing to owning a 'bricks and mortar' shop, seeing the gorgeous Faire Frou Frou's new look makes me all the more exciting.
